My name is Tim and this site is the home of IGX RUNB4IK1LLU, my gamer tag. Gaming has been my passion since the early days of Pong. I also started blogging and writing for websites back in 2008. Currently, I game on my Xbox One, Playstation 4, and occasionally the PC. I prefer first person shooters, but occasionally I will also play other genres. My favorite shooter of all time, however, is the legendary GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64. I have so many great memories playing that game while in the Air Force and it is still one of my most beloved shooters. My favorite action game is Ninja Gaiden for the original Xbox. The game was very exciting and challenging, but most of all, after I collected the 50 golden scarabs, I could play the original Ninja Gaiden series from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). With over 200 total games owned, my gaming systems include the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Wii, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Gameboy Advance, and, of course, an Atari 2600.
Besides being 2006 Time’s Person of the Year and gaming live on Twitch TV, I also enjoy watching Carolina Panther and Florida Gator football. During the spring, I make sure to catch as much Boston Red Sox baseball as I can while drinking plenty of ice cold beers (preferably Sam Adams) to keep me refreshed. A child of the 1980′s, I enjoy anything that has to do with G.I. Joe, Transformers, Batman, and Fruit Loops. Metallica, Megadeth, and Skid Row are always playing on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but I also enjoy Incubus, Bullet For My Valentine, Five Finger Death Punch, MonsterCat, Skrillex, and Deadmau5. Thanks for visiting my website and feel free to peruse around!
Where are you from? I am originally from South Carolina, but now call Florida home.
Where did you go to school and what was your major? I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts and Sciences.
What does IGX stand for? It initially stood for iGameXbox, but I decided that after playing games from different consoles and the PC, I changed it to just IGX because I didn’t want to limit myself to just one platform.
Have you been to any gaming conventions? Yes. I have been to PAX East 2011, 2013, and 2014. My goal is to eventually get to E3.
How long have you been gaming? I have been gaming off and on since the golden age of pong, so I have been gaming for a very long time. I have been a hard core gamer since 2004 when I finally purchased the originally Xbox and the awesome game Ninja Gaiden.
Which branch of service did you serve in? I joined the United States Air Force in 1990 and served until 1999. I have been to Iceland, Italy, and Egypt. As a Security Police Officer, now called Security Forces, I was able to see many parts of the country and I even got to visit the Great Pyramid of Giza in Cairo.
When did you start streaming? I started streaming back in June of 2011 with the help of Kona from KonasKorner.com and KonasKornerProductions.com. I was using the original Roxio Game Capture and a Dell laptop with Adobe Flash Media Encoder software. It was really bad quality, but it gave me the tools and the opportunity to learn the fine art of streaming.
Have you met any “famous” gaming people? Yes. I have met Morgan Webb (twice actually) once at a signing during PAX East 2011 and again at PAX East 2013 during the Fortnite Event hosted by Epic Games. Speaking of Epic Games, I also had the pleasure of meeting Cliff Bleszinski during a Frag Dolls party at PAX East 2011. It was short and sweet, but pretty cool nonetheless.
